The Past

NP: A plethora(vocab word) of songs by The Used

I haven’t been posting on this lately as I’ve said before. I feel like if I don’t have anything important to say then I shouldn’t post it on my blog. I want every post I write to have some significance so here I am ready to sound important. Over the past week, I’ve realized that I have a hard time forgetting the past. It’s so hard for me sometimes that I stay up all night thinking about what I said/didn’t say or did/didn’t do. It could sound dumb to some people but that’s the way my mind works. Then I look on the other side and realize I have a serious case of wanting to over analyze everything. I over think too much about things that people have forgotten about months ago.

Whenever I start thinking about the past I think about This Century’s song Money Honey that goes “Let’s learn to put the past behind us.” I do think dwelling on the past isn’t a good idea because everyone should be living in the present. Yes, learning from our past is a good thing but when I lose sleep over it then it’s more harmful then helpful. I have to stop doing this.
